Change to HTTPS to prevent any image hosting issue
Dear Valued Seller,
You are advised to use any image hosting sites that starts with “https” to ensure your image is uploaded and hosted properly. Many browsers are now complying to the security certificate and they are slowly blocking contents that does not come with https.
What is HTTP and HTTPS?
Website with HTTP has been widely used since 25 years ago and now starting from 24th July, Google has made an official announcement that Google Chrome will warn you whenever it loads an HTTP website. HTTP is commonly found in most of the website but it is vulnerable to various kind of problems when it comes to sensitive issue such as payment & privacy. That’s why you are encouraged to switch your website to HTTPS, a more secure version website.

What seller need to do?
- Seller that has been using manual upload from Lelong back end: Your images are all safe & secure, no action is needed.
- API seller: Check your HTML text & image link, contact your developer to change it to HTTPS.
- 3rd party file hosting (eg: photobucket etc..): Please look for an image hosting with secure certificate (HTTPS) or alternatively upload your images through Lelong back end.
Please also make sure you check:
- Product image
- Product description
- Store setting
- Storewide content
- Any HTML text
