According to The Star & Malaysiakini news reported: Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has warned the selling of unauthorised TV box since February and four has been fined RM 70,000 after they pleaded guilty to owning unauthorised Android TV boxes with the intent to sell.
The cases were investigated under the Communications and Multimedia (Technical Standards) Regulations 2000, and all items that were seized in the two cases have been handed to MCMC to be disposed of.
