[Coupon] Exciting Upgrade To Coupon System

We’ve been working on this exciting update for quite some time, so we’re proud to announce that starting 19th of March, you will be seeing an essential upgrade to our coupon system.
One big update is that sellers are now able to create coupons that can be used automatically upon check, this is a game changer for seller as it provides higher flexibility in creating your own coupon ladder to entice buyers to buy.
P/S: We’ve also launched a feature called coupon report where you will be able to breakdown your coupon usage in detail, you can even download in spreadsheet to tabulate data! So make sure to head to your seller backend to check.
Auto Apply Coupon Provides Flexibility In Creating Offers
In the current coupon system, it is difficult to create coupon ladder especially when you need to provide different offers from free shipping, product discount to cart discount. For instance, you might have the following issues:
- Created 2 coupons
- Free Shipping with min. purchase RM100
- 10% off with RM120 purchase no cap
- But the customer can only pick one as they can only insert one coupon.
With this upgrade, you can now create offers like:
- Free shipping with min. purchase RM100
- 10% off RM 120 no cap
… and all of them automatically applied. Not only you will be able to encourage buyers to buy more, but it will also reduce your day to day task in mass editing your product postings.

3 Coupon Types – Shipping, Product or Cart Coupon
Just like the current system, you can create 3 types of coupons – shipping, product & cart coupon. Here is what the respective coupon types can do in a nutshell:
- Shipping: provide free shipping nationwide or selected states.
- Product: provide a direct discount on specific products, can be applied up to the level of discount per quantity (good for wholesale).
- Cart: order level discount that deducts directly on shopping cart value

Design Your Own Offer
As the coupon system is designed with flexibility in mind, you can decide and design your own offer. Your coupon mechanism could be a mix of coupon codes (with different values) and free shipping that auto apply when it meets the minimum purchase.
Regardless of what your offer is, remember that the key here is to design your offer in a way that pushes up your average order value.
